RIP Jane

We are now down to one canary as Jane passed away of old age last week. Canaries don't live as long as other birds. She was 3. We have bought three more hens, Barnvelders and two chicks, Cream Legbars. No names yet. But they will have soon.

We also have another new addition; Snorkmaiden.
She's an LDV Convoy minibus which we are converting into a campervan, so that we can all go down to Pen Llyn for lots of great weekends next year. I'll be keeping you updated with lots of pictures of progress.

Starting at the End; New baby and mum gifts

I'm going to start with today, and work backwards.
I have been meaning to start a blog for quite a while, I work using the internet, so why haven't I started this a long time ago.
I'm going to start by adding my most recent crochet creation. My friend had a baby on Tuesday, and I was planning on making her a cushion, I had all the materials, but didn't know where to start so I decided, after bouncing a few ideas off hubbie, to make a poncho for those chillier days on the horizon.
And here it is:
I used a ball of Merino wool and some hand woven wool from S.America.
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I just need a photo of the baby wearing it, but I guess for that I need to remember to take the parcel to the post office. Which I may do tomorrow if I have recovered well enough from this dreadful cold and sore throat.
I've also started felting, and i made this too, for the new mum:
I hope they like their little pressies x
